As the World’s Biggest Classic Motor Racing Festival – Silverstone Classic, is showing on the Silverstone track just on time at 25th July. In this 3 days festival, they these classics will turn on their engines, let the sound of tires blow the Silverstone. A feast for any automotive enthusiast, the Silverstone Classic showcases some of the most exciting wheel-to-wheel classic racing in the world.As well as a Morgan stand in the motor fair, there was also a number of Morgans on track across all 3 days of the festival to enjoy. Two of the three Morgan SLRs in existence were present and racing at the festival as well as a number of different Plus 4 Morgans including the famous XRX1. On display in the paddock was also a 1997 Morgan Plus 8 GT2 car, the first Morgan to have an aluminium chassis.

Glorious sunshine engulfed the famous Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb on Saturday 12th of July for the second Morgan “Thrill On The Hill” festival. If Thrill On The Hill wasn’t being billed as an annual event before, it certainly will be now! Over 2000 Morgan owners and fans travelled to the picturesque corner of Worcestershire as hundreds of Morgans took on the famous 1000 yards. On looking crowds were entertained by everything from pre-war 3 Wheelers to the latest Plus 8 Speedster, many of which provided plenty of tyre smoke and automotive theatre. Air displays from a Pitts S2S modified biplane and a beautiful WW2 Spitfire entertained crowds as well as live music from Elles Bailey and Random Numbers. Morgan car to take part in 2014 Classic Cars Challenge in China

Beijing China, 17July 2014 Morgan car China has confirmed today its participation as a corporate sponsor in the upcoming Classic Cars Challenge China (4C) Rally, which is organized by the Classic Vehicle Union of China (CVUC), the local body of the Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA). Created in 2011, this annual 4C event is a road competition for international classic cars driving from Beijing to Shanghai during a 12 days Rally challenge. With the slogan “One passion leads to glory”, the 2014 road trip will start from the 9th of October in Beijing, and end in Shanghai on the 21st of October. Classic Vehicle Union of China (CVUC) is a national organization with over 400 members and a collection of about 1000 classic vehicles. It was founded in 2005 and its headquarters are located in Beijing. In 2009 CVUC officially joined FIVA and attended the FIVA General Assembly in Turin. With strong support from Fédération Internationale des Véhicules Anciens (FIVA), and after two years of intense preparation, CVUC held the first edition of China Rally of International Classic Cars from 18th to 23rd of August 2011 along the golden route from Beijing to Shanghai. This was a FIVA B-category event that brought together 32 classic cars and 123 participants from 12 countries. Horst Brüning, the president of FIVA, attended the opening ceremony.
