Morgan & Struthers London Limited Edition Watch

Morgan & Struthers London Limited Edition Watch

British independent family run manufacturers Morgan Motor Company and Struthers London have collaborated on a limited series wrist watches. Individually hand crafted by London master watchmaker Craig Struthers and Birmingham leading antiquarian horologist Rebecca Struthers, these watches are hand-built to honour Morgan’s design ethics and company heritage.

Heavily inspired by the traditional trench style popular when the first Morgan cars hit the road back in 1910, SfM watches share the same “old meets new” instant classic appeal as the cars, benefiting in exactly the same way from the retrospect of 21st century design.

Each watch is unique and built to order in the most bespoke service offered by British watchmaking. Both qualified vintage and antique watch restorers with decades of experience between them, the Struthers are passionate about reclaiming watch movements from history rescued from the bullion industry. Each watch represents a recommissioned piece of engineering history, modified in-house by the Struthers and crafted in to a new timepiece exclusively using ethically sourced materials and British manufacturers.

The leather cuff strap is another feature popular from the early days of the car. Originally designed for their easy changeability on fixed lug watches, they feature the added bonus of raising the watch slightly off the wrist giving extra clearance and allowing for a larger case diameter whilst increasing hand flexibility and comfort. This additional room allows gear change without the winding crown making contact with the back of the hand.

Struthers for Morgan clients will have the opportunity to work directly with the watchmakers to create their chosen watch, either meeting the Struthers at their studio in the Midlands or at any UK Morgan dealership. All clients regardless of location will be kept updated with photographs and updates of the creative process throughout the manufacture of their watch, and given a unique illustrated portfolio on completion.
